Due to excellent thermostable performance and superior flame-retardance, mica tapes are widely used for fire-resistant cables such as wirings, power and control cables, data cables, instrumentation cables, fire-alarm cables, etc.  In the case of fire, mica tapes protect cables from being destroyed under the extreme environment, which allows both electric power cable and communication cable operate long enough so that maintain normal work of the safety instruction device, machinery, information transmission. It is essential for avoiding the personnel safety issues, property damage and equipment disability.

Our mica tape is ideal for high-speed cable cladding during the production of cables.

Electric Insulating Property at normal temperature: white mica tapes are greater than gold mica tapes.

Electric Insulating Property at high temperature: gold mica tapes are better than white mica tapes.

Thermostable performance: gold mica tapes release crystalline water at temperature high than 800℃, white mica tapes release crystalline water at temperature of 600℃. The performance is also related to the compound degree of the mica tapes.

Our phlogopite mica tapes can be reinforced by single or double sides glass clothes or PE/PP film or fiber. Features and specifications can be custom made.

5. Great fire-resistant performance. The cables wrapped by single layer of compound mica tapes can maintain normal operation of circuit for 3 hours when the fire flame temperature is up to 1000 ℃.

6. The usage of mica tapes in heat-resistant plastic sheath can reduce and prevent emission of toxic gases, fumes.
